Some of our girls' bedroom collections are simple or playful; Camille is a bit more complex than many of those. If she were a member of your daughter's group of friends, she would be neither the most soft-spoken one, nor the drama queen. She's not quite a diva, but definitely a glamor girl. Think cascades of curls, spilling out from a tiara or a wreath of tiny roses. Imagine seeing a woman from behind; she appears to be wearing a simple A-line dress, until she turns around, revealing a bodice embellished with the Crown Jewels. You'd be startled, intrigued, awed.
Well, we think you'll feel the same way about the Camille Collection. Finished in a textured Daisy White, the graceful shape of the case fronts and egg-and-dart molding combine with turned bun feet for a vintage look inspired by the Victorian era. Of course, like any of the fairer sex, Camille sometimes takes on a slightly different style; some pieces include accent finishes of French Grey or Accent Rose, providing a subtle but striking complement to the already classic beauty of the set.
Camille Vintage Nightstand
If "vintage" means "for old people" in your book, you're in a for a surprise! The antique-looking mirror-front drawers definitely add some bling from a bygone era, but the effect is far from archaic. If you're not convinced quite yet, flip up the top lid and you'll find a built-in charging station that would have had the most thoroughly tutored Victorians cocking their heads in wonder. Each of the three drawers is embellished with hardware designed in a way that mimics a vintage brooch, with a classic skeleton key protruding from it for good measure. The size of this nightstand may be the only thing "standard" about it: the piece measures 22 inches wide by 18 inches deep and 27 inches high.
Camille Nightstand
One inch narrower than the "vintage" version but otherwise identical to it in size, the Camille Nightstand includes an open area outfitted with a charging station. The two drawers beneath provide more secretive storage. This less embellished piece does include an added feature: a built-in, touch-activated nightlight. One more benefit is that you can order this piece in your choice of Daisy White, French Grey, or Antique Rose. (The drawer pull hardware is painted in the same finish color as the rest of the piece.)
Camille Tall Chest
This piece's style mirrors that of the Vintage Nightstand, with its attention-getting drawer fronts. This time, though, the effect is nearly doubled, since this taller piece includes 5 drawers instead of only 3. The top drawer includes full-extension metal guides and a secret compartment hidden by a removable felt tray. The self-closing drawers provide plenty of storage for whatever lingerie and accessories that complete your daughter's wardrobe. Barely wider and deeper than its sister piece, the piece measures 23 inches wide by 19 inches deep and 52 inches high.
