The Genevieve Collection includes a few select metal pieces as well as some upholstered pieces, each of which offers a charming connection with the Collections mainstays: French White painted pieces. The simple beauty of all Genevieve Collection furniture is reminiscent of the vintage charm of a Parisian Carousel. The oval lines and curved feet are no substitute for modern conveniences, though; Smartstuff™ furniture combines the best of both worlds. All Genevieve wood pieces are crafted from hardwood solids combined with birch veneers. Three different bed designs, along with plenty of storage pieces, provide a rich selection of quality furniture that not only offer timeless beauty but also promise to stand the test of time. We’ll start with two French White Genevieve Beds.
In addition to the Upholstered Bed and Metal Beds, the Genevieve Collection includes three additional bed styles, none of which require a box spring. All Genevieve Collection beds feature bed rails that bolt firmly together rather than a hook-and-slot assembly, and the beds provide high or low bed rail position options. The slat roll foundation is comprised of plywood, making it stronger than traditional wood slats.
The Genevieve Panel Bed offers a built-in LED reading light as part of the headboard in either the Twin or the Full size. The Twin measures 42 inches wide by 81 inches deep and 48 inches high, with a footboard height of 33 inches. The Full bed measures 57 inches wide by 81 inches deep and 49 inches high with a footboard height of 34 inches. Instead of an oval, like the metal bed, the Panel Bed headboard and footboard offer a uniquely shaped arch design, which is mirrored in trim on both.
The Genevieve Bunk Bed mimics the same curvy, arched design of the Panel Bed headboard and footboard, but a slatted variation on that theme. The Twin-over-Twin option measures 43 inches wide by 81 inches deep and 80 inches high; the Twin-over-Full option is the same except that the bottom bed is 58 inches wide, instead. Either size can be separated into two separate beds, and the Full bottom bed can be converted into a Twin, and vice versa, thanks to the optional extension kit. The ladder features wider-than-average steps, for added safety, and the top bunk features a removable top shelf that replaces a nightstand. Both the Genevieve Panel Bed and the Genevieve Bunk Bed can accommodate either the Genevieve Trundle Unit or the Genevieve Storage Unit.
