We’re pleased to introduce another brilliant furniture collection designed for both boys and girls: The Catalina collection provides a rare combination of timeless and trend-worthy designs. The streamlined look of Catalina evokes a dorm-room-esque aura that your tuned-in teen or tween will find alluring. Marked primarily by elm veneers stained Gray with Parchment-colored framing for girls or stained dark brown (Backpack) with a Chalkboard-colored framing for boys, the crisp silhouettes are far from mundane. When you add in the abundant practical little extras tucked away in each piece, parents and kids alike will be excited to make Catalina their own. Below, we'll feature a few beds from the girls' gray and parchment style.
Catalina Panel Bed
The Catalina Panel Bed comes in either Twin or Full size. The Twin bed measures 41 inches wide by 82 inches deep and 50 inches high, while the Full bed is 56 inches wide. The footboard height for either is 26 inches. The headboard and footboard showcase the elm woodgrain in Gray, while the Parchment border and side rails offset the darker Gray panels. The side rails mirror the panel theme, albeit more subtly, since the Parchment finish is used throughout.
Catalina Reading Bed
Unlike almost all other pieces in the Catalina collection, the Reading Bed is comprised solely of the Gray Elm Veneers, allowing the woodgrain to show through in this blend of organic materials and modern design. The headboard includes horizontal planks, almost appearing as if it’s crafted from pallets, which are all the rage presently in the world of DIY and dorm décor. The footboard appears similar to that of the Panel Bed, except that the border is the same finish as the inset panel. The Catalina Twin Reading Bed measures 43 inches wide by 80 inches deep and 47 inches high, while the Full bed measures 58 inches wide. (The footboard height for both sizes is 22 inches.) An extra perk of this trendy bed is the LED flex reading light built into the headboard.
Catalina Loft Bunk Bed
The Catalina Loft Bunk Bed provides a space-saving option for those wishing to maximize the square footage of a room. The entire unit, including loft, ladder, and Twin bottom bed, requires a space that’s 81 inches wide by 81 inches deep and 71 inches high. The upper bunk alone, along with the ladder, measures 81 inches wide by 60 inches deep and 71 inches high. The lower bed alone measures 42 inches wide by 81 inches deep by 25 inches high. Unlike other pieces in the Catalina Collection, this unit is made from metal. The lower bed is on casters and can be used as a stand-alone piece. The upper bunk unit includes a built-in desk or work space but no drawers. A Catalina desk chair can be purchased separately.
