What could be more contemporary yet classic, than black and white? Think of vintage newsreels, formal attire, and the most elegant hotel rooms. Simple designs in black, white, or both have captured the attention of designers across the globe, and for good reason. Add a splash of color, and you have a definite statement. The Smartstuff™ Black & White Collection offers you that kind of design potential, along with lines and hardware that combine traditional lines with casual appeal. The five beds in this children’s furniture collection each offer their own unique aura, while complementing the basic tenets of simplicity and style that pervade each piece in the line.
Black & White Collection Night & Day Bed
The Night & Day Bed in Black or White provides a new take on the classic day bed idea. If your teen or tween’s room doubles as a hang out, or your home office doubles as a guest room, this piece is absolutely perfect! Measuring 83 inches wide by 42 inches deep and 52 inches high, the mattress is encased on three sides, with the longest functioning as the back of a sofa during the day; all you need to add is a few comfy throw pillows. The combination of curved and horizontal lines creates a clean look with a gentle touch.
Set on bun feet, the Night & Day Bed has room for an under-bed storage unit of your choice: Rolling Storage Trundle or Double-depth Storage Drawer. The Trundle includes removable valet trays and can hold a Twin mattress that’s 7.5” thick. The Storage Drawer includes two side cubbies, each with a shelf. The drawer features 4 knobs and appears as if it’s two separate wide drawers.
Black & White Collection Panel Bed
The Panel Bed in Black or White has lines similar to that of the Night & Day Bed, but without the rounded curves. If you decide to include two different beds in the room, though, our choice would be one Night & Day bed in conjunction with this Panel Bed. The headboard and footboard have the same carved-out curves flanking the horizontal panel lines. Whichever color you choose (Black or White), be sure to choose a contrasting color for your walls, and the head board will really make a statement!
The Panel Bed comes in your choice of Twin or Full sizes, with the option of purchasing just the headboard by itself. The Twin bed measures 42 inches, and the Full bed measures 58 inches wide; both beds are 81 inches long and 52 inches high. Either size bed can accommodate one of two under-bed storage units offered by the Black & White Collection.
