While the Skyline Collection is best known for its Weathered Oak wood finish, three pieces incorporate a coordinating desert-colored canvas upholstery: the Skyline Fabric Headboard Bed, Skyline Daybed, and Skyline Desk Chair.
Skyline Fabric Headboard Bed
Available in both Full and Twin sizes, this unique bed style epitomizes the word "cozy." The sides of the headboard incorporate artistic lacing, adding to the handcrafted appeal of the entire line. The headboard itself is an impressive height at 52 inches high, making it a natural focal point, either against a bold or dark wall or backed by another neutral hue. The footboard is made from Poplar with a White Oak Veneer, complete with the Weathered Oak finish seen throughout the set. The horizontal planks coordinate well with drawer pieces; however, you could choose to forego the footboard and use the headboard only with a metal bed frame. Like other beds in the Skyline Collection, this design also offers low or high rail positions and the possibility of adding underneath-the-bed storage with the Skyline Trundle or Underbed Storage Unit. The Twin bed measures 42 inches wide, while the Full bed measures 57 inches wide; both are 82 inches deep.
Skyline Upholstered Day Bed
Perhaps more than any of our other daybed designs, the Skyline Upholstered Day Bed truly offers the comfort and appearance of a sofa. The comfy combination of upholstery and gentle, curved design makes this piece a definite favorite. While it lacks the lacing of the Skyline Desk Chair, it coordinates so beautifully with that piece in both design and texture. To optimize the lifestyle effect, you'll want to choose bedding and extra throw pillows that coordinate well with the Natural Stonewash Canvas. Despite the unique appearance of this Daybed, it still accommodates a standard twin mattress. The measurements of this piece are as follows: 83 inches wide by 48 inches deep and 35 inches high.
Skyline Desk Chair
The third upholstered piece in the Skyline Collection might just be our all-time favorite. Like the Daybed, the Skyline Desk Chair could easily be mistaken for a living room furniture piece, just scaled down for youth. The legs of the chair are made from Poplar with Oak Veneer and feature that great Weathered Oak finish which we see in most other pieces in the Skyline Collection. The seat, back, and arms of the chair are upholstered in the 100% cotton Natural Stonewash Canvas in a way that appears similar to an easy chair, yet the support offered definitely makes it a good fit for sitting at a desk and getting work accomplished. The lacing down the back adds a touch of added interest. With a 24-inch seat height, the total dimensions of the chair end up to be 21 inches wide by 22 inches deep and 38 inches high.
