A quick word from Paul & Phil
The Bedroom Source story begins, like so many of our stories often do, with our dad, Sid Kantor, and a little mattress store he opened in Lindenhurst, Long Island in 1980. We were lucky enough to work part-time driving the delivery truck, all while watching our dad grow the store through a combination of hard work, exceptional value, and a hassle-free “No Pressure” shopping experience unlike anywhere else.
Sadly, dad passed way in 1983, but we kept the store and his memory alive by continuing what he started all those years ago, and in no time at all, that little mattress store more than tripled its business. So in 1996, we moved to a 24,000 square foot building across the street on Sunrise Highway. It was there that we made the fateful decision to feature bedroom furniture in our new showroom, namely kids’ furniture. And just like that, “The Bedroom Source” was born!
By specializing in innovative, high-end, imported and American-made bedroom furniture including solid hardwood beds, bunks, lofts, and a complete line of mattresses from America’s oldest privately-owned mattress manufacturer, word quickly spread and we soon expanded our inventory (and our showroom) to Carle Place where we’re still located today.
And while a lot has changed over the years, some things remain the same. Things like value, craftsmanship, and a hassle-free “No Pressure” shopping experience second to none. That’s the way dad did it. And if it was good enough for him, it’s good enough for us.
