Safely Transition Your Child to a Big Kid Bed
For young children, we recommend starting with your Maxtrix Bed as a Daybed, complete with a standard rear guard rail as well as a front guard rail for younger children. The bed is low to the ground and can also accommodate twin rolling storage drawers or a single trundle drawer. The guard rails can also be used to accommodate a fun top tent in your choice of Maxtrix fabrics. While you can remove the front rail as your child gets older, you can also leave it there to accommodate the next step — raising the bed!
Raise the Fun Factor with Play Lofts
Your Maxtrix Daybed can safely and easily be converted into a Loft or Bunk Bed, thanks to the Maxtrix Rock Lock Connections. Leg-extension kits include low, medium, high, or ultra-high options. (For bunk beds, you can choose from low, medium, or high, with the addition of a second bed.) By making your child’s bed a loft, not only do you create a more open layout, but you essentially add extra square footage to your child’s room! With the addition of an underbed curtain and maybe even a tower and a slide, you can create the perfect castle for your little princess or fort for your little adventurer. Depending on your comfort level, you can choose from a straight ladder, an angled ladder with hand rails, or a staircase with extra storage hidden in each step.
Double the Fun with Bunk Beds
If you have more than one child or would like to have extra sleeping for overnight guests, you might want to consider making your Maxtrix bed into a Bunk Bed! Don’t think for a minute that a Bunk Bed wouldn’t be as much fun as a Loft; you can easily use Maxtrix top tents and underbed curtains for Bunk Beds, too! Twin-over-full designs are great for having your child’s bed double as a guest bed, too.
