While a look at history reveals that closets are a twentieth-century luxury, most of us don’t feel like we have enough storage space, even with those recessed spaces! Adding to the confusion over wardrobes and armoires, a third furniture category comes to muddy the waters. Designed to hold both folded and hanging clothing behind two doors, the French-inspired Chiffonier was designed to gather both folded and hanging clothing.
With drawers on one side and shelves on the other, some pieces now labelled “armoire” or “wardrobe” might better fit the description of a Chiffonier.

Classic Wardrobe Details
Both the Black Classic Wardrobe and the White Classic Wardrobe provide ideal clothing storage solutions for children and teens. Constructed from Birch veneers and hardwood solids, the Classic Wardrobe includes a single fixed wooden shelf, along with two adjustable shelves and three tray drawers.
The back panel includes a hole for easy cord management, in case you choose to use it to house a gaming system, DVD or Blu-Ray player, or other electronics. This piece measures 42” wide by 18” deep and 71” tall.
