Perhaps you’ve already read our blog post titled “Three Reasons Our Mica Collection Might Be Right for You,” and had one of the reasons resonate with you. Then you’re in the right place! We’ll take a glance at three of the most versatile Mica pieces that we offer.
Mica Platform Bed
The Mica Platform Bed, like all pieces in the Mica collection, offers plenty of versatility. The standard sized Platform Bed has an optional Panel Headboard that’s 36 inches high and can be combined with one or two nightstands, if you would like. Alternative headboard styles include flat panel, deeper shelf, lift-lid storage, and a bookshelf. This bed is also available with storage drawers.
The bed itself includes a 12-inch base, which can be made lower or higher, depending on your needs and preferences. The Base can also come with or without storage drawers and includes plenty of support. The Solid Mattress support does not require a box spring; instead, you can choose from any of the premium mattresses we carry, and we’ll deliver the mattress at no additional shipping cost when purchased with a bed.
Mica Storage Bed
The Mica Storage Bed is actually available in three versions, all at the same low price point. The 4-drawer, 2-door bed includes a full-depth storage cabinet. The 6-drawer unit includes 6 drawers that are each 24 inches wide. The 4-drawer unit includes 4, 36-inch-wide drawers. The Mica Storage Bed is finished on all sides, allowing the drawers to face either left or right and be changed if the need arises. (For Full, Queen, and King beds, drawers are available on both sides.) The platform offers a finished, smooth white surface. While we recommend a radius design for the foot of the bed, you can opt for a different design. Smooth drawer fronts come standard, but if you prefer a more traditional look, knobs can be added.
The Storage Bed comes in your choice of sizes: Twin, Twin Extra Long, Full, Queen, or King. Twin size measures 42 inches wide by 77 inches long and 21 inches high. The Extra Long is the same except 82 inches long. The full bed is 57 inches wide and otherwise the same as the standard Twin. The Queen measures 62 inches wide, 82 inches long, and 21 inches high. The King is the same size as the Queen except 80 inches wide. This bed style can be paired with an optional headboard in a variety of styles, heights, and depths, but the most popular headboard we sell with this bed is the bookshelf headboard, which is 11 inches deep and 42 inches high; however, it can be made taller, shorter, deeper or shallower, depending on your particular needs. It can also include a baseboard notch so the bed fits flush against the wall. Panel headboards begin at 2 inches deep and 42 inches high but can also be customized.
